Stunt Marshall is trading wrestling ropes for real strikes as he prepares to make his Power Slap debut at Power Slap 13 on June 27 in Las Vegas. A larger-than-life personality with a one-of-a-kind look — think flat top, bleached Fu Manchu, and a rat tail — Marshall is bringing charisma, experience, and a “world-famous jaw” to the Power Slap table.
And fittingly, his debut will be against someone he knows all too well — fellow wrestler Dante Smiley.
“I’ve had a world-famous jaw in wrestling,” Marshall told Slap News, “so let’s see how it holds up in Power Slap.”
“Hate Hogan” Was Born in a Dare
Marshall’s now-iconic look wasn’t the result of marketing — it started as a Halloween joke.
“Me and my buddy dared each other to shave our beards. I went as Hulk Hogan. Woke up the next day and said, ‘I’m keeping it.’ Five years later — still got it.”
From the Locker Room to the Slap Stage
Marshall found his way into Power Slap almost by accident. His roommate, Zicky Dice, a fellow pro wrestler, was talking to Sin Bodhi when Marshall jokingly asked if they needed anyone else to get slapped.
Twenty minutes later, the invitation to the Power Slap combine was real.
“I showed up just to hang out. But once I got there — the camaraderie, the atmosphere — I knew I was in the right place. When they called me for Power Slap 13, I couldn’t say no.”
Facing a Friend: Dante Smiley
It won’t be an easy introduction. Marshall will be facing Dante Smiley, a longtime friend and former wrestling opponent.
“We actually wrestled before in Arkansas. He brought me in. He beat me. But now it’s different. This isn’t wrestling — the office doesn’t control the outcome.”
And Marshall sees this as a chance at payback.
“He brought me in to lose at his promotion. So maybe I get a little redemption here.”
The Training Never Stops
Despite a demanding schedule on the road, Marshall is all-in on his preparation.
“I went out and bought my own Bob — that MMA dummy. I train with him every morning when I’m home. And on the road, it’s bands, jaw exercises, striking drills at Crunch Fitness or MMA gyms. I’m putting in the work.”
Expect Energy — and Entertainment
In a middleweight division stacked with talent, Marshall plans to stand out with more than just his strikes.
“They’ve got a lot of great fighters — but not a lot of characters,” he said.
“I’m bringing personality. Excitement. Something different.”
He and Dante are one of just two wrestler-vs-wrestler matchups on the Power Slap 13 card — and they’re opening the show.
“Let’s go! First match of the night. Get the crowd fired up, then I get to chill in catering. That’s perfect.”
Prediction: First Slap KO?
What’s Marshall’s dream scenario?
“I win the coin toss. He goes down after the first slap. That’s the perfect world.”
But he’s realistic about what’s ahead:
“Most likely, we’ll go all three rounds. It’ll be in the judges’ hands. He’s a tough dude. I’m a tough dude. And we don’t pull punches — or slaps.”
Message for Dante Smiley
Looking straight down the camera, Marshall had one final message for his opponent:
“Dante, June 27, it’s gonna be from the floor — with the lights behind me. Because in pro wrestling, we got a saying: Have fun counting the lights.”
