Slap News has landed in New Orleans for Power Slap 14, and the humidity isn’t the only thing heating up. With a card full of grudge matches, title shots, and rising contenders, this event promises fireworks. We’re breaking down every main card fight, line movement, and potential betting value so you’re fully locked in before Friday night.

Damien Dibell vs. Wes Mena

Odds: Dibell -330 | Mena +230
The reigning heavyweight king, Damien Dibell, returns as a heavy favorite. At 5–0 in Power Slap, he’s taken out everyone in dominant fashion, including the legendary Wolverine. Wes Mena is undefeated at 4–0, but his resume doesn’t stack up against the champ. The line has tightened slightly (opening at -350), but Debell remains the clear pick. His power, chin, and long-strike reach make him a problem for anyone — and Wes is entering the lion’s den.

Robert Trujillo vs. Dakota McGregor

Odds: Trujillo -400 | McGregor +275
This rematch isn’t expected to go much differently than the first. Robert Trujillo, the reigning champion, outclassed McGregor just four months ago. Since then, the odds have swelled in Trujillo’s favor, and rightfully so. He’s one of the most dominant athletes in Power Slap — maybe even more so than Debell. McGregor’s only chance? Land the perfect shot. But against someone this composed, that’s easier said than done.

Vern Cathey vs. Austin Turpin

Odds: Cathey -180 | Turpin +140
A true grudge match. These two genuinely don’t like each other, and their first fight ended with Vern Cathey dominating. Turpin hasn’t competed since Power Slap 8, while Vern’s been active and evolving. Still, this is Turpin’s return to heavyweight — a weight class where he historically thrives. Both men are natural entertainers and tough as nails. Expect this one to be loud, angry, and violent. Could be fight of the night.

Darren Godfrey vs. Ki Kakoa (Chief)

Odds: Godfrey -150 | Chief +120
The rematch no one saw coming. Godfrey KO’d the Chief in Abu Dhabi, but Chief has since taken out Wesley Drain and looks like a new fighter. While the line hasn’t moved much, the dynamics have. This is effectively a hometown fight for Chief, and he’s laser-focused on redemption. Don’t be surprised if this one goes deeper than expected — and maybe even ends in an upset.

Emanuel Muniz vs. Brandon Rhodes

Odds: Muniz -350 | Rhodes +250
On paper, this looks like a blowout. But the line might be misleading. Brandon Rhodes has been scrappy, durable, and hard to put away. Yes, Muniz has the accolades, but if Rhodes can keep it clean and survive early, this could be closer than expected. Still, Muniz’s championship experience and knockout ability make him a dangerous pick against anyone.

Nate Burnard vs. Aaron Turner

Odds: Burnard -220 | Turner +165
This is a must-win for both men. Nate’s on a losing streak. Turner’s coming off a rough performance and needs to prove he belongs. Both have football backgrounds, elite size, and power — but Nate has faced tougher competition. Turner is a gamer and continues to evolve, but the gap in experience could be the difference. This one will be emotional, heavy, and probably go deep.

Zakir Naimanbayev vs. Cooper Hosley

Odds: Naimanbayev -240 | Hosley +180
Zakir is a powerful striker with two controversial matches under his belt — a win in January, and a DQ in June for the same type of strike. Cooper Hosley stepped up on short notice and could pull off an upset. If Zakir can’t adapt to the new rules or gets disqualified again, this fight could easily slip away. From a betting standpoint, the dog might be worth a shot here.

Makini Manu vs. Dwayne Crespo

Odds: Manu -140 | Crespo +110
This is a classic power vs. tactics matchup. Big Mac brings the knockout threat. Crespo brings the strategy — and the resume, including a decision win over current champ Dane Viernes. Manu looked great against Steven Rousey, but this is a major step up. Crespo doesn’t have knockout power, but he knows how to win rounds. This one is a toss-up, and we’d advise caution if you’re betting it.
