A grudge settled, a rivalry ended, and a clear message to the heavyweight division

At Power Slap 13, Pono Pau got the moment he’s been waiting for — and he made it count. In a personal, emotional, and dominant performance, he delivered back-to-back knockouts to former friend and Season 3 rival James Stonier, officially avenging his only Power Slap loss.

“This is the redemption,” Pau said post-fight. “This was more important to me than any title fight.”

The Fight That Had to Happen

There was history between Pau and Stonier. The two first met on Season 3, when Stonier handed Pau his only defeat — a clean shot that Pau admits he thought about “every single day.”

“Every time I wondered — when am I going to get this match? When do I get this one back?”

That time came at Power Slap 13, and Pono wasted no time making the most of it. He slapped first, landing a powerful blow that staggered James, who flinched and attempted to recover.

“I thought he was going to get back up. But they called flinching — so I got to hit him again.”

The second slap ended the night decisively.

“Prayers to everything. I just thought: stay down. Don’t make me hit you again.”

Knockout and No Damage Taken

Pau didn’t just get redemption — he walked away untouched.

“I didn’t get hit. Still looking pretty.”

The difference between the two fighters was stark. Pau, who added 20 pounds since their last encounter, stood much heavier and more powerful than Stonier, who had dropped weight. The size, strength, and emotion behind Pau’s strikes were undeniable.

“Not once — but twice. I got to knock him down twice. That’s redemption.”

Who’s Next? Pau Targets Wes “The Boom” Mana

With his hand healthy and his confidence sky-high, Pau is already hunting for his next fight. He wants a quick turnaround, and he’s already calling out his next target:

“I’m already looking. Wes ‘The Boom’ Mana — been calling him. He’s got a shot against Damen DeBell. But Damen’s going to put him down. And I’ll be right behind to line him up.”

Pau isn’t shy about what he wants — or how personal it’s become.

“Loyalty is key over everything. And you messed around. You talked to the wrong people. We’re not friends. I’m going to kill you, bro.”

The Heavyweight Division Has Been Warned

Pau made it clear: this was just step one on his revenge tour. His goal is to clean out the heavyweight division — one name at a time.

“After me, every single person is going to take him out one by one. His record’s a wipe. One and three. Then one and four. Then one and five.”

Power Slap 13 was a turning point for Pau. No longer chasing redemption — he’s now chasing dominance.
