At Power Slap 13, Pita is back—and this time, it’s personal. The 115-pound striker faces off against Bela Picard in Las Vegas on June 27, which also happens to be her birthday.
“I love competing on my birthday. Every judo tournament I ever did on my birthday, I won,” she says. “It’s just special—doing what I love, on my day.”
Redemption Mode: Lessons from Jamie Hinshaw Fight
After dropping her debut to Jamie Hinshaw, Pita isn’t dwelling on the past. She’s focused on how far she’s come since.
“It’s night and day. I didn’t have any proper Power Slap training before. No team, no experience, no real help. I studied the rules, but I just didn’t know what I didn’t know.”
That’s changed. Since then, she’s been to training camps, refined her technique, and leveled up her mindset.
New Chapter, New PITA
“Last time, I wasn’t in the best headspace. My ex was managing me, and that relationship was ending,” Pita admits. “Now, I’m doing it all myself—and I’m getting back to who I am.”
And who is that?
“PITA stands for Pain In The Ass. I’ve had that nickname longer than my actual name,” she laughs. “I was seven years old dreaming about being the greatest athlete alive. That hunger’s back.”
Mind Over Mayhem: Olympic Training Mentality
With years of competitive experience in judo and MMA, Pita approaches fight week like a seasoned pro.
“My sports psych from the Olympic Training Center taught me how to organize my thoughts. Ten weeks out, eight weeks out, seven days out—it’s a system. And when it’s time, I flip that switch.”
Compared to her opponent Bela, who’s making her debut, Pita sees her familiarity with the process as a clear edge.
The Knockout Question: Can It Happen at 115?
Pita isn’t just coming for a win—she’s aiming to make history.
“I shattered a girl’s jaw with one punch in MMA. I know I don’t weigh much, but I hit hard. Do I want the first KO in the 115 division? Hell yes.”
No Trash Talk—Just Business
She has no ill will toward Bela Picard. But when the match begins, Pita says it’s game on.
“We both signed the contract. We’re both going to do what we came to do. After that, we can chat it up. But in the cage, it’s business.”
Why Fans Should Watch
“People should tune in because they’re going to see someone totally different from last time. I’ve grown, I’ve evolved—and I’m ready to show everyone.”
Power Slap 13 goes down Thursday, June 27, live from Las Vegas. Keep your eyes on Pita—she’s on a mission to rediscover greatness, and she might just knock the lights out on her birthday.
