He looks the part, talks the talk—and if his Combine performance is any indication—Mirza Brahamovic is ready to walk straight into the lion’s den of Power Slap’s light heavyweight division.
Towering at 6’3” and 217 pounds, the Bosnian-born striker may be a new name to fans, but behind the scenes, he’s already signed a contract and is waiting for his official debut.
“I found my shot,” Brahamovic told Slap News. “I’ve got the stance, the mechanics, and the mindset now. I’m going to be a problem in this division.”
More Than a Pretty Face
Brahamovic isn’t your average newcomer. He first applied to Power Slap in February 2025—and just weeks later, was offered a last-minute replacement spot on Power Slap 12. Though the original fighter ended up being cleared, Mirza signed a contract and immediately went to work.
That opportunity set the stage for his full-circle moment at the inaugural Power Slap Combine.
“Going in, I already had a contract. So I treated the Combine as a business trip,” he said. “I wasn’t just there to learn. I was there to prove I belong—and I did that.”
A Student of the Game
Mirza credits the Combine with refining every piece of his slap game—from stance control to strike timing.
“I asked a lot of questions. I trained with Rob, Wolverine, Blackburn, and even got insight from referee Mark Smith. I soaked up everything,” he said.
He entered the Combine weighing just under 217 lbs—lean, powerful, and explosive for a light heavyweight. And while some athletes were still figuring out technique on day two, Mirza felt he’d unlocked a formula.
“The first day, your MMA instincts make you pivot too much. But by day two, I locked it in. Now I’m going to replicate that shot over and over at home. It’s going to be automatic.”
No Call-Outs… Yet
Though he’s poised to shake up the lower half of the rankings, Brahamovic is staying respectful—for now.
“Luke Simmons left a nice comment on my last interview. I’m keeping an eye on him. Not calling him out, but I see what’s going on,” he said. “I’m focused on making my debut, knocking out whoever’s in front of me—and then the rest will speak for itself.”
What’s Next?
With a contract in hand and a performance that impressed all three Combine coaches, Brahamovic is now in fight camp mode, waiting for his name to be called.
He trains daily, balances diet and recovery, and is sharpening his weapon of choice—a polished right-hand slap built on precision and patience.
“This isn’t a couch-to-cage story. I take this sport seriously. I came in clean, focused, and professional. The light heavyweight division is going to remember my name.”
