When Johnny Magna and Ryan Kenny collide on June 27 at Power Slap 13, expect violence, intensity, and two heavyweights with something to prove — not just to each other, but to everyone watching.

This isn’t just a match. It’s a collision of egos, styles, and raw power. From verbal jabs to claims of knockout force, Slap News sat down with both men in a fiery head-to-head that set the tone for one of the most heated matchups on the card.

The Origins: From Combine to Carnage

Both fighters earned their spot through the Power Slap Combine, but their journeys there were very different.

Ryan Kenny, a Canadian heavyweight from Cobourg, Ontario, was recruited by Sin Bodhi and immediately felt at home.

“From the second I walked through that door, I knew we were in for some true violence. There’s no turning back now.”

Meanwhile, Johnny Magna, based in New Mexico, reached out directly.

“I said, ‘I get to knock people out and get paid? Fuck yeah.’ I made sure they knew about me.”

Respect? Not Here.

While they trained at the same event, the respect ends there. Magna questions Kenny’s presence, doubting his power and experience.

“I checked out everybody at the Combine, and I’m like, what the fuck would Ryan have that I don’t?”

Kenny fired back with a grin:

“You’re going to find out when I slap the shit out of you.”

The two sparred over slap strength measurements — with Magna claiming 79,000 on the human force scale and Kenny recalling 57,000, enough to edge out Juicy at the Combine.

Magna: “You don’t know your numbers. I know mine. I’m bringing real heat.”
Kenny: “I don’t care what numbers you post. When I knock you the fuck out, I’ll be standing over you while you’re trying to gain consciousness.”

Style Clashes, Literally

Magna’s raw energy is matched by a bit of swagger and absurd humor — calling out Ryan’s bald, tattooed head and sunglasses.

“You look like if Mr. Clean never went to that audition.”

Kenny didn’t flinch, saying the talking won’t mean much once the slaps start flying.

“When you’re standing across from me, your mouth’s not going to be running that fast anymore.”

Training Camps & Backgrounds

Kenny admitted that being Canadian limits his training partners but said he’s been putting in consistent work.

“I’m out here every day. Slapping everything I can. No excuses.”

Magna claims the edge in camp, training with John Dodson and Chelsea Chandler.

“Legends. Veterans. I’m getting real work. I’m ready for this.”

What the Casual Fan Should Know

Why tune in?

Magna: “Because it’s me. And if you don’t know me yet, you will.”
Kenny: “Because one of us is going to sleep. And it’s not going to be me.”

Both men are making their Power Slap debut, and both are betting on viral moments, brutal slaps, and knockout statements.

Final Words Before War

Magna: “Ryan, I’m going to smack the shit out of you. Then I’m going to do a really cool celebration. And it’s going to go viral.”
Kenny: “You’re going to feel the fucking power that you think doesn’t exist here in Canada — and I’m going to knock you the fuck out.”
