Louis “Razor” Robinson is back.

After making a statement in his Power Slap debut by defeating James Siekmann at Power Slap 17, the former British slap-fighting champion is set to return at Power Slap 22 in Serbia against dangerous heavyweight prospect Pavol Horelican.

For Robinson, this isn’t just another fight.

It’s the culmination of months of preparation, years of sacrifice, and another opportunity to prove that British slap fighters belong on the sport’s biggest stage.

Third Time Lucky: Finally Heading To Serbia

Getting back onto a Power Slap card hasn’t been straightforward for Robinson.

According to him, there have already been two failed attempts to compete this year before finally landing the matchup with Horelican.

“We’ve had two attempts to get there this year, so we call it third time lucky.”

The setback didn’t slow his preparation.

Since competing in Saudi Arabia, Robinson has remained locked into training camp mode, preparing for whatever opportunity came next.

“We’ve been training since Saudi Arabia.”

Now that opportunity has arrived.

And he’s ready to show the results of the work.

A Matchup Between Two Rising Heavyweights

Unlike many heavyweight matchups that feature towering athletes, Robinson and Horelican share similar physical profiles.

Both are smaller heavyweights compared to some of the division’s giants.

That creates an interesting dynamic.

Robinson has long viewed his shorter stature as an advantage in Power Slap.

“Being smaller is better because it’s a lot harder slapping down than it is up.”

Normally, that size advantage works in his favor.

Against Horelican, however, the playing field is level.

“With Pavol being the same height, that advantage kind of levels the playing field.”

Because of that, Robinson expects the fight to come down to one thing.

“It’s just gonna be a battle of the chin.”

Studying Pavol Horelican

Film study has been somewhat limited for Robinson.

Most of what he’s been able to review comes from Horelican’s appearances in SFC events and his recent Power Slap performances.

Still, Robinson believes he has gathered enough information to form a game plan.

And while he respects Horelican’s abilities, he sees a potential weakness.

“I’ve seen him been hit once.”

While Horelican survived that shot, Robinson believes he brings significantly more power to the table.

“I know for a fact I hit harder than his last opponent.”

That confidence is leading him to believe the Serbian showdown could end violently.

Keeping Busy While Waiting For Opportunities

One challenge facing many international Power Slap athletes is inactivity.

Unlike American competitors who often receive multiple opportunities per year, international athletes frequently have longer gaps between fights.

Robinson has found a way around that problem.

Staying Active Through Brit Slap

Rather than sitting around waiting for a phone call, Robinson has immersed himself in helping grow slap fighting in the United Kingdom.

His activities include:

  • Coaching at Brit Slap
  • Running slap-specific training sessions
  • Hosting the Slappy Hour Podcast
  • Mentoring upcoming British competitors
  • Building the local slap-fighting community

“We’re staying immersed in the slap world as much as possible.”

The result has been a rapidly growing scene.

The Growth Of Brit Slap

Robinson credits much of his own success to the Brit Slap platform.

Without it, he believes he may never have received his Power Slap opportunity.

“If it weren’t for them, I wouldn’t be where I am.”

He says Brit Slap helped put him on the map and provided exposure that eventually caught the attention of Power Slap officials.

Now he’s seeing that same platform grow rapidly.

According to Robinson, participation numbers are exploding and athletes are traveling significant distances just to train.

“The popularity, it’s going crazy over here.”

More Than Just A Fight

When Robinson made his Power Slap debut against James Siekmann, he felt pressure.

At the time, he wasn’t simply representing himself.

He was representing an entire scene.

There were questions surrounding whether Brit Slap competitors could successfully transition to Power Slap.

Robinson answered those questions with a statement victory.

Now, the pressure feels different.

“For this one, I feel like it’s more for me.”

Instead of carrying expectations for an entire community, Robinson is chasing something personal.

“I’m just hungry for a win.”

Why Rankings Don’t Matter

Despite currently sitting inside the heavyweight rankings, Robinson isn’t overly concerned with where he stands numerically.

In fact, he believes rankings have very little meaning unless you’re holding the championship belt.

“Ranking is nothing but a number.”

He points to examples throughout Power Slap history where athletes have received opportunities regardless of ranking position.

Instead, Robinson believes there’s one thing that truly moves fighters forward.

“The only way to go up is to get a viral knockout.”

That’s exactly what he intends to deliver in Serbia.

A Massive Test Against A Dangerous Opponent

Despite his confidence, Robinson isn’t overlooking Horelican.

Far from it.

He repeatedly described the Slovakian striker as a legitimate threat.

“Pavol is a machine.”

That’s precisely why this fight matters so much.

For Robinson, a victory over Horelican would validate years of effort and preparation.

“If I can get past Pavol the way I’m planning on, whoever they throw at me next, I’m gonna have no problem.”

It’s the type of confidence that comes from believing you’ve already done the hardest work.

The Goal: A Viral Knockout

When asked directly what it would take to secure victory, Robinson didn’t hesitate.

He wants a knockout.

Not just any knockout.

A statement knockout.

A viral knockout.

“That’s what they like to see, so that’s what we’ve got to deliver.”

While he expressed respect for Horelican and acknowledged the unfortunate reality that one of them must take a loss, Robinson understands the business side of the sport.

“I don’t want to knock Pav out, but I’ve got to.”

A Message For Pavol Horelican

As the interview concluded, Robinson delivered a direct message to his upcoming opponent.

It wasn’t filled with trash talk.

It was a challenge.

A challenge aimed squarely at the most important attribute in Power Slap.

“Bring that chin.”

Robinson acknowledged Horelican’s power but reminded him that striking is only half the battle.

“The top dogs have the best chins.”

And in Serbia, Robinson intends to find out exactly how good Horelican’s really is.

Louis Robinson Is Chasing Something Bigger

The first Power Slap appearance proved British slap fighters belong.

The second could prove that Louis Robinson belongs among the heavyweight division’s elite.

With years of experience, a growing reputation, and the confidence that comes from preparation, “Razor” heads into Serbia believing this is another step toward something much bigger.

And if he’s right about Horelican’s chin, Power Slap 22 could end with another highlight-reel finish and another statement made on the international stage.
