Logan Greenhalgh just made a statement. The light heavyweight contender walked through Russel Rivero with a first-round knockout at Power Slap 16, earning his second career finish and putting the entire division on notice.
No damage taken, no questions left unanswered — and now, Greenhalgh says there’s only one logical next step: a title shot.
“I’m super excited and grateful,” Greenhalgh told Slap News. “A lot of people doubted me, but I believed in myself. I knew Russel couldn’t take my power. I watched his matches — that chin’s gone. Once I saw that, I knew he wasn’t taking my hit.”
From Heavyweight to Contender
The performance marked another leap in Greenhalgh’s evolution. Once a heavyweight college kid out of St. Louis, he’s transformed his body and mentality — and the results speak for themselves.
“I’ve cut a lot of weight,” he explained. “It looks like I’m smaller, but I’m still pushing the same numbers I did as a heavyweight. Dieting’s been the key. The weight room’s always been my best friend. I’m always gonna be strong. I’m always gonna have power.”
And that power was on full display at Power Slap 16. Rivera, known for his durability, hadn’t been finished since AJ “Static” Hintz back in the early days of Power Slap. That streak ended violently when Greenhalgh’s left hand detonated.
“My Power’s at the Top of the Division”
Despite his humility, Greenhalgh made it clear that his ceiling is championship level — and he’s ready to prove it.
“All week I heard people saying I should be scared,” he said. “I don’t let outside noise get to me. My power’s top of the division. I gotta be next in line for the title shot. I don’t know who else deserves it more — it’s gotta be me.”
He even shared his thoughts on the Alan vs. Wolverine bout that headlined the same card.
“I was there. They both have chins. I think Wolverine should’ve finished it in the second, but Alan’s goofy as hell,” he laughed. “Still, Wolverine hasn’t felt my kind of power. When I get my shot, I’m knocking him out. We’re not going the distance.”
Confidence Forged in Heavyweight Battles
Greenhalgh’s confidence isn’t misplaced. Having come from the heavyweight ranks, he’s faced some of the sport’s hardest hitters — and survived.
“I came from the heavyweight division where guys hit way harder,” he explained. “Now I’m down here at light heavy, but I still have my heavyweight power. I’m not being cocky — I’m just being real. Wolverine can’t take my hits. Nobody has.”
From St. Louis Student to Power Slap Star
When Slap News first interviewed Greenhalgh, he was still a college student balancing books and bruises. A few years later, he’s one of the most dangerous names in Power Slap.
“It’s wild,” he said. “Not this quickly. But I’m grateful. I think it’s God’s plan — He knew I was built for this. Now I’m here to show everyone.”
Next Stop: Gold
After dismantling the division’s top contender, Greenhalgh isn’t interested in tune-ups.
“I don’t know who else would even make sense,” he said. “I just knocked out the number one contender in the first round. Why wouldn’t I get a title shot? Russell was the hardest matchup for me — a knockout machine — and I put him away. Nobody else deserves it.”
The Final Word
With the Power Slap light heavyweight title potentially within reach, Logan Greenhalgh is done talking about potential — he’s proving it every time his palm connects.
“Everyone already knows,” he said confidently. “I’m going to be the next light heavyweight champion.”
