Kid Lava has been waiting.

Waiting for the call.
Waiting for the opportunity.
Waiting for the chance to finally step onto the Power Slap stage and show the world exactly who he is.

Now, at Power Slap 20, that moment has arrived.

Set to face fellow combine standout Carson Lee in his debut, Kid Lava says the journey to this point has been filled with sleepless nights, nonstop preparation, and years of believing this opportunity would eventually come.

And according to him, he is more than ready.

“I Stayed Ready”

Kid Lava admitted the wait following the combine was mentally exhausting.

“I’ve been checking my emails, Instagram DMs, text messages every single day since the combine.”

The uncertainty kept him restless.

“I haven’t been able to sleep very well since the combine.”

But despite the anxiety, he never stopped preparing.

He continued training consistently at D-Von Dudley’s wrestling academy while staying physically and mentally ready for the call from Power Slap.

Now that the debut is official, he says there is finally some peace.

“Since I got the call, I feel like I can actually get good sleep.”

Manifesting the Moment

One of the most striking parts of the interview was hearing how vividly Kid Lava has envisioned his debut.

According to him, he has replayed the exact same dream repeatedly:

  • walking down the aisle
  • entering to music he personally created
  • scoring the knockout
  • hearing the crowd erupt
  • and shaking Dana White’s hand afterward

“I’ve been having the same dream over and over.”

To him, this opportunity is not random.

It is something he believes he has manifested through years of work and persistence.

“I feel like I’m finally manifesting it because I’ve been so hungry for this.”

Friendship Ends at Fight Night

Interestingly, Kid Lava revealed that he actually bonded with Carson Lee during the combine process.

He described Carson as:

  • a good guy
  • somebody he respects
  • and someone he connected with during their time in Las Vegas

But once fight night arrives, none of that matters.

“Nobody’s going to stop me from chasing my dreams.”

Kid Lava made it clear:

  • friendship is one thing
  • competition is another

And in his mind, someone has to get knocked out.

More Than Just a Fighter

Kid Lava brings one of the most unique backgrounds in the division.

Before Power Slap, he built experience across:

  • music
  • modeling
  • acting
  • trucking
  • pro wrestling
  • and the viral Florida Man Games

That diverse life experience, he says, taught him how to navigate:

  • business
  • contracts
  • networking
  • and self-promotion

Unlike many athletes, he believes he understands both the entertainment side and the business side equally well.

“I have the whole package.”

He also explained that his experiences in the music industry taught him to study contracts carefully and avoid bad business decisions — something he believes gives him an advantage moving forward.

Fighting Through Adversity

Kid Lava also opened up emotionally about dealing with discrimination throughout his life and career.

He said many of those experiences helped fuel his drive to succeed.

“My whole life I’ve been discriminated against.”

Rather than letting it discourage him, he used it as motivation to continue building himself through hard work and dedication.

He believes every experience over the last 30 years has led directly to this opportunity.

And with his birthday happening during fight week in Las Vegas, he views the timing as symbolic.

“I feel like my entire life has led me up to this very moment.”

Training Specifically for Power Slap

Unlike some athletes who simply rely on natural power, Kid Lava says he has approached Power Slap scientifically.

His preparation has included studying:

  • quick-twitch muscle development
  • spinal rotation mechanics
  • forearm strength
  • hip flexor training
  • oblique conditioning
  • and striking efficiency

He has also:

  • studied veteran athletes
  • compared training notes
  • watched film
  • and worked with a four-time arm wrestling champion as part of his strength program

According to him, the similarities between arm wrestling and Power Slap mechanics have been extremely valuable.

“I’ve been studying this before I even went to the combine.”

What Is “Kid Lava Style”?

When asked what fans should expect stylistically, Kid Lava pointed back to his performance at the Florida Man Games.

He describes himself as:

  • explosive
  • athletic
  • fast
  • powerful
  • and entertaining

Most importantly, he believes he balances all aspects of the sport:

  • power
  • technique
  • speed
  • charisma
  • and crowd interaction

“A lot of people focus just on power. Some people focus just on technique. I have the whole package.”

And he fully expects the audience to remember him immediately.

“When I walk out there, they’re going to know who I am.”

A Direct Message to Carson Lee

Kid Lava ended the interview with a warning for his opponent.

While still respectful, he made it clear what he expects to happen.

“I hope you’ve been training that neck.”

And then came the prediction:

“I’m going to knock you out, my brother.”

Power Slap 20 Could Be the Beginning

There is no shortage of confidence coming from Kid Lava heading into his debut.

But beyond the confidence, there is also clear preparation, vision, and ambition.

For him, this is not just another fight.

It is the culmination of years of grinding across multiple industries and betting on himself when nobody else would.

Now, at Power Slap 20, he finally gets the opportunity to show whether all that belief translates once he steps onto the stage.
