Isabella “Bella” Piccard isn’t just stepping into Power Slap 13—she’s walking proof that miracles can hit back. After breaking her neck playing Division 1 softball, going through years of neurological rehab, and building herself back piece by piece, she’s now ready to launch a new chapter in her life—with a thunderous slap.

Her debut against Peta at Power Slap 13 is more than just a fight—it’s a comeback 10 years in the making.

From Division 1 All-American to Paralysis—and Back

Bella was at the top of her game on a full athletic scholarship at St. Joseph’s University when disaster struck.

“I dove into second base just like any other game and hit the girl’s knee,” she recalled. “I broke my C5 and C6. I had right side paralysis.”

Doctors didn’t think she’d walk again—let alone fight. But Bella wasn’t finished. She moved to Florida to join a neurological reengineering program and has been rebuilding herself ever since.

“I still go to therapy three times a week. I’ve got drop foot, I’m fused in my neck, but I’m strong. I’m blessed.”

Finding Power Slap Through Prayer, Paige, and a Flu

After a hard year and a nasty flu, Bella stumbled across Dana White’s Power Slap online.

“I was sick and just feeling beat down. Dana’s face pops up—I clicked it, signed up. Next thing I know, I’m getting a message asking if I’m still interested. I was like, hell yeah.”

Training out of Deerfield Beach, Florida, she’s also rubbed elbows with fighters from American Top Team, and even partied with Paige VanZant, who ironically has had neck issues of her own.

Slapping Granite, Ottoman Technique, and Going Full ‘Slappy Gilmore’

Bella’s prep has been anything but traditional.

“I’ve slapped granite, cement, ottomans—you name it. My hands are cut up, my elbow hurts, but I’ve never felt stronger.”

She’s obsessed with slap science and even studied ancient Ottoman Empire slap techniques, which involved oiling hands and striking marble to build bone density and power.

“You need speed to kill a mosquito and power to crush a possum. I’m trying to blend both.”

Ready to Make History at 115

Competing in the 115-pound division, Bella is aiming for more than just a win—she wants a KO, something rarely seen at her weight.

“I’ve gained weight during camp and feel way stronger. I want to be the first woman at 115 to get a real knockout. I think I’ve got the power to do it.”

And she isn’t afraid of Peta.

“I respect her, I admire her, but I’m trying to knock her head off. With all due respect.”

Second Chances and Starting Over with a Slap

For Bella, this isn’t just a debut—it’s a redemption arc.

“The last 10 years have been setbacks. But walking out onto that Power Slap stage is my reset button. I turned 30, and I’m starting this decade off with a slap.”

“I’ve been starving for a challenge. I want to roll with people who can overpower me. I’m ready for this.”

Bella’s Message to the Fans

“I’m fun, I’m fired up, but when it’s go time—I flip the switch. I’ll walk out loose and laughing, but once I get slapped, it’s game on.”
