Power Slap XI will feature a highly anticipated heavyweight clash as Devin Jenkins returns to the table to face Wes Minna on January 30th in Saudi Arabia. Devin sat down with us to discuss his excitement, training, and what fans can expect when two Atlanta-born sluggers collide on the global stage.

Excited and Ready to Prove Himself

Devin Jenkins isn’t one to let his excitement show easily, but he’s fired up about his return to Power Slap.
“I’m excited as fuck, man,” Devin said with a smile. “I can’t wait to take on Wes, be in Saudi Arabia for the first time, and show everyone all the shit I’ve been working on.”

The opportunity didn’t come easily. Devin admitted there were moments of doubt as he waited for his call back.
“I definitely had a moment where I thought, ‘Damn, is that it for me?’ But now that I have this opportunity, I’m just so ready to get back up there.”

The Evolution of the Sport

Reflecting on his journey and the growth of Power Slap, Devin spoke about how much the sport has evolved since he first got involved.
“When I first started, it was just two dudes slapping each other, and people laughed at it. Now, people are analyzing the strikes, comparing them to baseball or tennis swings, and really treating it like a sport. Strikers are getting more educated, and training is evolving fast. You have to keep up with it if you want to succeed.”

Devin has embraced this evolution, adjusting his training to be more efficient and focused.
“It’s not just about working hard—it’s about working smart. I’ve been doing a lot of upper body plyometrics, neck training, and specific throwing motions to mimic the slap. You can’t just throw a thousand slaps a day; you have to train intelligently to stay ahead.”

Thoughts on Wes Minna

Devin acknowledged Wes Minna’s skill and experience but made it clear that he’s ready for the challenge.
“Wes has had a few matches now, and he’s shown he has some skill. But I’ve been putting in work, and he’s in for a surprise,” Devin said confidently.

Devin also shared his thoughts on Wes’s recent match against Awa:
“It was a decent match, but you could tell Awa was new to the game. Wes got over on him with more experience, but I’ve had way more time to refine my defense and offense. Wes is going to see a different level of preparation from me.”

The Game Plan

When asked about his prediction for the match, Devin didn’t hold back:
“The goal is always a first-round knockout. I’ve never gotten to strike first before, so if I win the coin toss, I’m aiming to end it early. But if it goes three rounds, I’m still going to win based on technique. Either way, I’m walking away with a W.”

Devin’s confidence is bolstered by his physical condition. Sitting comfortably at 253 pounds, he’s maintaining his power while staying in peak shape.
“Weight’s not an issue for me right now, which lets me focus on maximizing my power and performance,” he explained.

A Message for Wes Minna

Devin had a simple yet powerful message for his opponent:
“Bruh, two boys from Atlanta—people are expecting a show. Bring your motherfucking best, because I’m bringing mine.”

The Road Ahead

As Devin Jenkins gears up for Power Slap XI, he’s ready to show the world what he’s been working on and prove he belongs among the heavyweight elite.
“This sport is evolving fast, and I’m evolving with it. I’m ready to bring my A-game and put on a show for the fans.”
