Andrew “Casper” Fields is on a mission—and now that mission runs through Power Slap’s 155-pound division.
At Power Slap 14 on July 18 in New Orleans, Casper is dropping to lightweight to take on William Shockey in what could be a title eliminator bout. After five battles at welterweight and a long layoff, the veteran striker is rejuvenated, focused, and ready to make his statement.
From Welterweight Wars to Lightweight Ambitions
Casper’s record doesn’t tell the whole story. He’s gone to war with the division’s best: Jewel Scott, Anthony Blackburn, and Chris “KO Chris” Debow—and never been knocked out.
Now at lightweight, he sees a clear path to the top.
“I’ve been calling out Robert [Trujillo] since before they brought in lightweights. Nobody wants to fight him—I do. I’m ranked number four. I get this knockout and they’ve got to give me my title shot.”
Respect for Schalke—But Not His Power
Casper holds respect for William Shockey as a competitor and as a role model, especially given Shockey’s physical challenges.
“All respect to William. His whole condition with his arm—hella respect. That shows kids they can do anything. But I’m going to show him what it actually feels like to get hit.”
Despite Shockey’s highlight-reel knockout of Isaac Weinzweig, Casper is confident Shockey has never faced someone with his experience or chin.
“If Debow, Anthony, and Jewel couldn’t put me down, Schalke’s not going to.”
All Heart, All Fight
Casper admits he’s not the most naturally gifted athlete—but he believes Power Slap isn’t about pure skill. It’s about grit.
“My first match with Chris Debow? He rocked the shit out of me. But it’s about sticking it out. You have to be willing to get knocked out. You need balls and heart. That’s how you survive in this sport.”
Fighting for More Than Himself
Casper says his motivation runs deeper than titles and fame—it’s about his daughter.
“When I started this, I promised her we’d bring a belt home. Until I do that—and defend it 50 times—I won’t be satisfied. It’s no longer just for me.”
Keys to Victory
“Show up. No fouls. Clean knockout. That’s it.”
Casper has changed his training, refined his technique, and is ready to strike with precision. He believes the 155-pound weight class is the perfect place for him to thrive.
“Let me get this fight out of the way, then give me McGregor, give me Trujillo—whoever wins that title fight. Let me show y’all something.”
Final Message to Schalke
“All due respect, bro. You’re strong-minded, and I respect that. But all I’m saying is… practice falling asleep real f***ing fast.”
