Jacksonville’s own Stunt Marshall is bringing 14 years of wrestling experience, unshakable charisma, and a golden flat-top to Power Slap—and he’s not just here for the lights. He’s here to turn them out.
Duval in the Building
Slap News caught up with the man himself ahead of his Power Slap debut, and it didn’t take long before the trash talk started—aimed directly at fellow Jacksonville striker Austin Turpin.
“Jacksonville is mine. It’s off limits, man. He can have St. Augustine,” Stunt grinned. “We run the north side. Ask about it.”
Born and raised in Duval County and now based in Atlanta, Stunt proudly reps his roots. A lifelong Jaguars fan and self-described adrenaline junkie, he’s ready to make some noise on the slap stage.
The Origin of ‘Stunt Marshall’
The name isn’t just a gimmick—it’s a story of survival and inspiration.
“When I was two, I got hit by a car. Died for eight minutes. Thrown 180 feet. It messed me up, but I’m still here,” he said.
The “Stunt” reflects his fearless nature. “Marshall” comes from the Matthew McConaughey film We Are Marshall, which hit him harder than any wrestling bump ever did.
“I watched that movie and cried more than I did watching Titanic or Fox and the Hound. That’s how I knew it meant something.”
14 Years of Mayhem
Trained by Marty Jannetty, Stunt’s been in the pro wrestling game since 2011. He’s played both heel and babyface but thrives in the role of the villain.
“I’m like Corporate Rock with a splash of Kanye,” he said. “I started doing skits called Much Hate, just hating on everyday stuff for fun—like why a guy in a wheelchair gets to skip the line at the amusement park.”
Despite the attitude, the bumps are real. Stunt has broken his femur, cracked his fibula, and suffered a severe concussion—but he’s never tapped out.
“If wrestling was real, I’d be dead already,” he joked. “So Slap? Bring it.”
Weight Class Plans and Title Dreams
Currently walking around at 192 lbs, Stunt is aiming to compete at 170 or middleweight in Power Slap.
“I used to cut weight all the time back in school wrestling. I know how to do it. But I’m not going to light heavyweight. Ever. I’ll always go down… ask your girl.”
The goal? Knockouts. And plenty of ‘em.
“I may have some disadvantages from my accident, but I see them as advantages. If I get to use my right hand, somebody’s going to sleep.”
The Look, The Gimmick, The Legacy
You can’t miss him. The golden flat-top, the dyed Fu Manchu mustache—it’s all part of the package.
“I’ve rocked this look since 2012. My old barber hooked it up. The mustache came later—lost a bet, dyed it, and said, ‘Why not?’”
He’s also part of the Savannah Bananas’ rival team, the Party Animals—meaning he’s no stranger to performing in front of 80,000 fans, even sharing the field with legends like John Cena and CJ Spiller.
Why Power Slap?
“I grew up hard. Couldn’t give 110% in a lot of sports. But slap fighting? It’s a new adventure. I don’t want to be stuck in one place like my pops. I want to live life.”
