Las Vegas-based MMA fighter and former pro wrestler Jeslen Mishelle, known to fans in the ring as Desi Dorado, has officially stepped into the world of Power Slap—and she’s bringing serious credentials, charisma, and combat experience with her.
After completing Day One of training camp, Jeslen sat down with Slap News to discuss her journey from the cage to the podium, revealing a rich background in sports, performance, and resilience.
“Desi Dorado is just a magnified version of me,” Jeslen said. “Everything I’ve ever done—from fighting to performing aerial, to stripping, to pro wrestling—was about entertaining people. That’s what I love most.”
From the Ring to the Cage—and Now the Slap Podium
While Jeslen hasn’t wrestled in recent years, her athletic roots run deep. She’s a former Junior Olympian, a professional MMA fighter with five pro bouts under her belt, and a graduate of some of the best gyms in the country—including Syndicate MMA and Extreme Couture.
She’s gone 3-2 as a pro fighter, including a stint with the PFL (Professional Fighters League), and speaks candidly about the highs and lows of that experience.
“Two losses, three wins—but honestly, those two losses were two of the greatest lessons I’ve learned.”
Now shifting toward Power Slap, Jeslen brings not only power and toughness but a rare insight into performance psychology.
On Training, Trauma, and Transformation
Her passion for training is matched by a deep understanding of breathwork, visualization, and mental conditioning. Jeslen even teaches these practices, crediting them with helping her secure a TKO victory in her third pro fight—despite not considering herself a striker.
“I visualized it every single day—and it happened exactly how I saw it.”
At 175 lbs walking weight, she’s exploring Power Slap’s 155–170 division for women, a range that has yet to fully develop in the sport.
“Cutting to 145 feels brutal. That was my sixth-grade weight! But 155–160? I could make that.”
The Pro Wrestling Connection—and the Sisterhood
Despite taking a break from wrestling, Jeslen is still deeply connected to the community. She’s one of many wrestlers brought into Power Slap by Sin Bodhi, the Las Vegas-based pro wrestling legend (and self-described evil clown) who has become an unlikely talent scout for the sport.
“Once a pro wrestler, always a pro wrestler,” she said. “Being back around that energy felt amazing—like I was home.”
Jeslen highlighted the difference between MMA and wrestling environments, especially when it comes to female athletes.
“Pro wrestling women are different. They know it’s a show. We both win when the audience is happy.”
Is Power Slap the Future for Jeslen Mishelle?
While she hasn’t ruled out a return to MMA—or even another run in the wrestling world—Power Slap has clearly struck a chord.
“I’ve been hit hard. I’ve taken shots from UFC fighters. This is a new challenge—but I’m ready.”
Her sharp wit, authentic energy, and hard-earned experience make her one of the most dynamic athletes to watch in this wave of new Power Slap recruits.
